Snow, Snow, Snow!!!

I woke up this morning to about 6 inches of snow! For Nashville, Tennessee, this is not normal. When this happens, the whole city shuts down. No driving, no school, no nothing. Everyone rushes to the store to buy milk, bread, and eggs. For our Finnish friends, this must seem like we are weak humans.

Snow like this is breathtaking. It blankets everything with white. Everything looks clean and pristine. And very bright.

I am reminded of Daniel 7:9 when it snows like this.

As I watched, thrones were set in place; and the Ancient One took his seat. His clothing was white as snow, and the hair on his head was like pure wool. His throne was fiery flames, with wheels of burning fire."

God looks like the bright bright snow.

And Isaiah 1:18 describes how our sin will become white as snow.

“Come now,” says Adonai, “let’s talk this over together. Even if your sins are like scarlet, they will be white as snow; even if they are red as crimson, they will be like wool."

Snow is used in the Bible to describe something holy and clean.

I do agree!

Now on to make my hot chocolate.
