B'Nei Anussim Awareness

The Jewish people have been victims of persecution for thousands of years.   The Inquisition that took place in Spain and Portugal during the 15th Century CE was an unmerciful persecution of Jews by the Church.

Thousands are Jews were forced to convert to Catholicism on point of death.  Many were brutally tortured.

Many  B'Nei Anussim ( children of the forced) escaped the persecution and fled to the New World to Modern-day Brazil and the Indian province of Goa.  Here they kept their Jewish traditions and heritage in secret.

Now, descendants of the B'Nei Anussim, who are believers in the Messiah Yeshua, are exploring their genealogical roots.  Many want to trace their Jewish Ancestry and return to their Jewish heritage while also retaining their faith in Yeshua.

Our Partners at Ensiando de Siao, Museu da História da Inquisição, and ABRADJIN in Brazil are leaders in the struggle to recognize the B'Nei Anussim as fully Jewish.  The hope is that the state of Israel will one day recognize the descendants of the Annusim as Jewish and allow them citizenship.
